Landsailing!

WIND ’N WHEELS

Blokarting, land- or sandsailing, all different words for basically the same game.  Piloting a landyacht is a mesmerising experience, the speed acceleration and turns could be compared to a go-kart. The main difference being, that all we need is a bit of wind and wagon with three wheels and a sail. Sailing experience isn’t necessary. We build up our clinics step by step, so that everyone can experience this Wonderful sport in a safe and fun way. Of course we are dependant on the wind to be able to sail. We are able to ride from approximately 3 til 6 Beaufort (between 8 and 25 knots of wind for the sailors). We always adjust the size of sail to the circumstances that day so you can get the most out of your experience. In case of a little rain we have overalls available. If the weather does not permit us to sail for some reason we try to look for an alternative activity.

To be able to do a spot of langachting a little space is required. Therefore we have a wonderful large terrain to our disposal on one of the windiest locations of Amsterdam. You can host the most diverse events at our location. 

Wind ’n wheels is actually a bit of a run out of control joke by origin. We won the use of a massive plot of land by winning a competition from the city of Amsterdam, during the financial crisis around 2010. A couple of years back we moved to our current location and decided to name it Cape east. We offer free parking which obviously is super practical if you have a lot of guests coming form out of town. Of course it is also super easy to get to us by bike or public transport. Tram 16 stops only a 5 min walk away and swiftly gets you from and to Amsterdam CS.

On our location you also find restaurant KAAP. This original venue will take care of all your wishes regarding food and beverages.

Visited wind n wheels at the weekend for a stag do. It was absolutely brilliant! Went on the electric skateboards which were great fun and then had snack and food, which were to a really high quality. The staff were friendly and sorted us out with a few beer tastings which was unexpected but appreciated. Spent several hours in the beer garden enjoying the music and service. Would definitely recommend, didn’t want to leave! Thank you!
